N is number – the variable that represents a numeric series – or volume.
2 is for “to”, chosen for my bias – that mathematics, computational statistics, machine learning, and large data sets can help us re-boot medicine and improve care.
What is value? Value depends upon who perceives it. Each of us may sense value differently based on our circumstances. I believe value in healthcare is anything that: improves patient health, satisfaction, and outcome; decreases the cost of care; and increases provider satisfaction, skill, and productivity.
